About the Opportunity

A Mechanical Design Intern will support the Engineering Department in the design and development of innovative products and manufacturing fixtures at Argen. This internship offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the creation of high-quality solutions in a dynamic engineering environment.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Provides SolidWorks CAD support for the design and development of Argen products and manufacturing fixtures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Assists in the creation of documentation for the installation, operation, and performance qualifications of products and equipment, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of our offerings.
  • Participates in engineering manufacturing meetings to discuss ongoing projects, address engineering challenges, and aligns project schedules and milestones.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with teams across the organization to provide support for various engineering projects as required, fostering teamwork and efficiency.
  • Works closely with engineers and other stakeholders to contribute to the successful execution of mechanical design projects and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, with coursework in CAD design highly desirable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in mechanical design and engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot design issues effectively.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude towards tackling new challenges and acquiring new skills.
