Join the rehabilitation team at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hillcrest as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and partner with our dynamic team at this Level 1 Trauma Center to engage with a wide variety of patients. This diverse team is dedicated to professional growth and improvement and is looking for someone who will put themselves in the patient's shoes and help us continue to provide the best patient experience possible.
The Physical Therapist Assistant will:
- Assist in the provision of therapy under the supervision of the Physical Therapist who shall be responsible for the extent, kind and quality of the services provided by the therapist assistant through a continuum of care.
- This work is performed according to the assistant's licensure/certification, Code of Ethics, Federal/State regulations, JCAHO/UMQC and Care Center policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to perform competencies as outlined in Rehabilitation Services Competency Assessment tools.
- Demonstrates age specific care as established for area and job title.
This is a benefitted Part Time (40 hours per 2-week pay period), 8-hour Day shift, position located at Scripps Mercy San Diego.
Required Qualifications:
- Current physical therapist assistant license in State of California.
- Current annual BLS certificate.
- Must have variety of problem solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills with internal and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience as a PTA in an inpatient setting.
