The Zeigler College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant to the Dean (Job# S190A-19-192).
Duties - This position is essential to effective functioning of a large and diverse college.
The successful applicant will: coordinate accreditation activities, manage course scheduling (departmental and General Education courses, including enrollment projections and staffing proposals) in consultation with the Dean and Chairs; manage Dean's Office, special initiatives, and student employment budgets; review Independent Study, Individual Instruction and internship applications and make recommendations to the Dean; manage or play a key role in organizing one or more annual programs in the college; oversee and serve on committees; handle student issues, coordinate space and needs of the college; manage two employees including performance reviews, work assignments, and leave approvals; handle and mediate staff issues; assist departments in filling job vacancies and mentoring new staff; participate in college projects as assigned by the Dean.
Master's degree (earned by December 31, 2019)
3 years professional experience in administration of academic programs in higher education
Experience working with diverse populations

Demonstrated experience working independently
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively
Demonstrated experience managing multi-faceted projects
Demonstrated experience solving problems, using knowledge of policies, procedures, and curriculum
