Job Duties

Teach early childhood education and other related courses as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in one of the following:

  • Child Development
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Human Development
  • Home Economics/Family and Consumer Studies (with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education)
  • Education Psychology (with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education)
       OR
A Bachelor's Degree in any of the above areas AND a Master's Degree in one of the following:
  • Social Work
  • Educational Supervision
  • Elementary Education
  • Special Education
  • Psychology
  • Bilingual/Bicultural Education
  • Life Management/Home Economics
  • Family Life Studies
  • Family and Consumer Studies
  • or the equivalent  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as an Elementary teacher in a public school setting
  • Possess a multiple subject credential
  • Experience mentoring or supervising field work students
  • College teaching experience and/or teaching of adults
  • Previous online teach experience; online teaching certified

Pay Philosophy
Starting salaries for PT Faculty are based on educational achievement.  Initial placement is within the starting salary range.  Further advancements are based on longevity and educational growth.
