One postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Stijn De Langhe’s laboratory at UAB. We are currently investigating the role of signaling pathways, such as Fgf, Wnt and Hippo, in differentiation of airway epithelial progenitors and the impact of developmental pathways in the pathogenesis of adult lung disease, such as COPD, asthma and lung fibrosis. We are interested in recruiting a highly self-motivated, junior post doc, i.e. recently graduated trainee, with the potential to develop an independent research career, who has a strong record of publications. Candidates with skills in hands-on mouse work, transgenic/knockout mouse models, advanced fluorescence and confocal imaging, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell culture, flow cytometry, gene expression, ChIP, quantitative analysis, RNA-Seq/bioinformatics analysis are strongly encouraged to apply.
